Just days after it was discovered that a University of Wisconsin-Madison professor was disparaging beloved conservative influencer Charlie Kirk shortly after his brutal murder, it was revealed that another professor at the university has been attacking Kirk while downplaying the horrific circumstances surrounding his death.
Nathan Kalmoe, a Professor of Journalism and Mass Communication at UW-Madison who is the Executive Administrative Director for the Center for Communication and Civic Renewal, reposted talking points on his Bluesky calling Kirk a ‘white supremacist’ and condemning other liberals for memorializing Kirk.
In one instance, Kamloe retweeted a post lamenting that Oregon is flying their flags at half staff to honor Kirk, with the poster calling Kirk a “white supremacist” and accusing Kirk of getting “special treatment”.
In another, Kamloe retweeted a post expressing displeasure at the fact that some liberal commentators have memorialized Kirk, accusing their praise of him of being “phony”.
According to Kalmoe’s biography on UW-Madison’s website, he specializes in studying ‘understanding the roles of political communication ecologies in contentious political environments, along with challenges to democracy in Wisconsin.’
In another instance, a UW-Madison professor who was prominently featured ‘twerking’ in a video with Lizzo attacked Turning Point USA on Bluesky, claiming that the organization created a ‘watch list’ of left-wing professors.
She ended her post with a ‘shrug’ emoji, indicating indifference towards his death. (RELATED: Calls Grow for Wausau Alderperson Lou Larson to Resign After Offensive Remarks on Charlie Kirk’s Killing)
A wave of accountability has followed Charlie Kirk’s death, with conservatives exposing posts mocking or celebrating his passing. So far, dozens or even hundreds of people have lost their jobs as a result of the post, and thousands more have been added to a website cataloguing their posts called charliesmurderers.com.
