A vibrant new fence mural featuring the slogan “For the Love of Wisconsin” has been unveiled along Lombardi Avenue, near Lambeau Field in Green Bay. The mural, designed by Spencer Young of Forever Young Designs, celebrates the rich culture and traditions of Wisconsin.

Spencer Young explained that the idea for the mural originated from casual conversations with friends, aiming to merge the local enthusiasm for the Packers with broader Wisconsin culture. The mural came to life with the support of the Quaid family, who offered their fence for the project, and a group of prominent Wisconsinites with significant social media followings, according to the Green Bay Press Gazette.

Contributors to the mural include Ryan Ruebl of “Meanwhile in Wisconsin,” Christie Barlament, manager of CityDeck Landing apartments, Ed Bieber, known as Ed the Diver, and Matt Ramage of The Matt Ramage Show podcast. Each contributor is represented on the mural alongside symbols reflecting their love for Wisconsin and their unique roles within the community.

A special section of the mural pays homage to Wisconsin native and “Saturday Night Live” alum Chris Farley, a significant inspiration for the group. The mural features an image of Farley with a deer, referencing a scene from his movie “Tommy Boy” filmed in Oshkosh.

Additionally, the Quaid family is depicted wearing green and gold, symbolizing their passion for the Packers and Wisconsin. Hidden references, such as a Barbie doll and a bratwurst and cheese necklace, nod to the personal stories and traditions of the mural’s creators.

The mural has already garnered excitement from Packers fans and community members, with many eager to visit and take photos during game days.
