Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, has died after being shot at Utah Valley University during a public event on September 10, 2025. He was struck in the neck and died despite being rushed to a local hospital.
Donald Trump issued a statement on Truth Social calling Kirk “The Great, and even Legendary” and expressing sympathy to his wife Erika and family. Vice President JD Vance, Senator Mike Lee, and other political leaders echoed similar sentiments.
Social media users have also paid tribute, sharing personal stories and messages celebrating Kirk’s work in promoting conservative values among youth.
The FBI and local law enforcement are investigating the shooting. Kirk’s organization, Turning Point USA, which has more than 250,000 members nationwide, played a major role in mobilizing students for conservative causes.
