The Green Bay Packers officially secured a spot in the 2025 NFL playoffs, despite missing key players on their roster. After loss to Raven’s, have clinched the seven seed.

The Packers’ playoff hopes became reality after the Detroit Lions were eliminated from contention when the Minnesota Vikings beat Detroit on Christmas Day, guaranteeing Green Bay at least the final Wild Card place in the postseason.

With a recordof 9–5–1 heading into the final weeks of the regular season, Green Bay has shown enough to stay in the hunt for the NFC North. Although the team is projected to slot in as a wild card in the NFC playoff bracket, their division hopes are still alive with some stars aligning.  (RELATED: Wisconsin Senate Wants Relationship Info From A-G Kaul, Bloomberg Funded Group)

As of now, the Packers would need the Bears to go 0-2, or 0-1-1 to end the season to earn a divisional championship. Despite their place in the NFC North, major sport books like BetMGM, Draft Kings and FanDuel all have the Packers with better odds than the Bears to win the Super Bowl. Across the board, the odds of the Bears winning are between 200-500 points higher (lower chance) than the Packers.

Quarterback Jordan Love has battled through health issues, entering concussion protocol and dealing with a left shoulder concern heading into Week 17, his status is still listed as questionable as the Packers prepare for the Baltimore Ravens. Backup QB Malik Willis also landed on the injury report with an illness and shoulder issue. (RELATED: Wisconsin Dairy Industry Benefits from Increased Milk Consumption)

Several key starters on both sides of the ball have missed time or been limited this season. Zach Tom (back/knee), Sean Rhyan (knee), Christian Watson (shoulder), Evan Williams (knee), and most notably Micah Parsons (knee) have appeared on recent injury reports. Kristian Welch was also recently ruled out with an ankle issue.
